If someone asked me what it’s like to be indie, I’d say:
Imagine a job where you set your own hours, where you can wear jeans or pajamas—or nothing!—to work every day, where you can make your own decisions (there’s a million of them), choose your own projects (again, at least a million), and where you can find support from friendly, willing, and capable authors eager to share their wealth of knowledge (that makes the whole thing worth it).
When Jessica Bell asked if I wanted to take part in her anthology, INDIESTRUCTIBLE: INSPIRING STORIES FROM THE PUBLISHING JUNGLE, I jumped at the idea. It’s a way for me to pay it forward, contribute, and help other authors who may be struggling to find their way in a seemingly unforgiving environment.
A total of 29 Indie authors have contributed to the anthology, each bringing their unique journey to the mix.
Such an AWESOME resource.
From now on, when someone asks me what it’s like to be Indie, I’ll refer him or her to this book.

About Laura Diamond:
Laura Diamond is a board certified psychiatrist and author of all things young adult paranormal, dystopian, and horror.
