5* for Diana Bocco's City of the Fallen #ReviewShare #Paranormal

City of the Fallen (Dark Tides, #1)City of the Fallen by Diana Bocco
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What were the main themes of the book? Romance, betrayal, survival and heroics. The author’s execution of theme and plot were a reader’s dream come true. The plot is strong but in my opinion it was the characters themselves who brought the story together. Every single character, villain or good, is defined by a different personality and specific characteristics for the reader to appreciate.

Does the plot come across clearly? This is one of the best stories I’ve read in a long time. The way the elements are meshed together into the plot, very exciting! The plot is clear and the great storyline full action will definitely make this book high on my to be recommended list.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? Isabelle is not your everyday damsel in distress and this reader found it easy to connect with her story. Sometimes it did feel that she was too much of a drama queen but when you’re making a decision as big as hers, I guess drama is a necessary component.
