Review: Intoxicated (The Intoxicated Books, #1) by Alicia Renee Kline

Intoxicated (The Intoxicated Books, #1)Intoxicated by Alicia Renee Kline
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The introduction. Kline makes a good attempt at building her characters and focusing on Lauren's issues with her current boyfriend so readers are clear. This was my favourite part of the book as Lauren seemed strongest and most decisive at this point.

Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? I would recommend this book to anyone who is patient enough to understand the main character. I liked Lauren and she's a familiar symbol of many young women today but it often felt as if the author was forcing her to become someone she was not.

Did the book description relate to the story? The description was accurate but too long. I think this is the first time anyone in the book club has ever said that. But really, while it provided a good idea of what the story was about, it also gave away too much.

Disclosure - As a Quality Reads Book Club member, I received a free copy of this book from the author via Orangeberry Book Tours in exchange for my honest review.
