Author Interview – Kara Stefanowich

Can you tell us about your main character? The main character’s name is Shiloh Lashley. She is an international assassin hired to kill a man that she decides not to kill. She is a wounded warrior who takes her anger out on her targets. She chose a solitary life after enduring many turbulent traumas that she chose to bury deep and keep secret forever. If only her new target would allow that.

Who is your publisher? Teague Publishing is a new and rising Indie book publisher specializing in short stories, or in my case, anything they think is good enough to be a hit. They have been a shining star in the eyes of new authors as their first priority is to give new authors a chance to be published.

What was the hardest part about writing this book? The hardest part about writing this book was having to take a handful of short and simple comments and turning them into vast stories one at a time. It reminded me of a school project where you have to brain storm a simple idea into something extraordinary.

Will you write others in this same genre? I have a long list of genre’s I’m writing in right now, so I suppose it wouldn’t be such a long shot to write in this genre again. After all, it was pretty fun.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? I think as the story progressed I felt that the ultimate moral of the story was never to lose hope. Even the darkest waters can wash clean given enough time and the proper filtration.

How important do you think villains are in a story? I happen to think that villains make the story. People want to know that even when faced with the worst of circumstances or the vilest people, they can still be the underdog. They can still win in the end and when they do, they will be stronger.
