What were the main themes of the book? How well did the author execute these themes? The central themes of this book are healing and acceptance. Acceptance played a key role in the plight of healers. They needed to be accepted by society but more importantly, they need to accept themselves.

Describe 2 different settings or locations. One - the conversation with Bruno. It was touching and yet there was a coldness to it that sent a tingle down your spine. "What had that brute of a man done to his son? A sensitive child trapped in the body of a
giant. The boy had retreated from his pain into a relationship with some imaginary friend, this Matthew, and then his father had destroyed even that comfort and so fractured the boy’s mind."

Two - The chief police officer's funeral. Having been so cruel to so many people, only immediate family members attended his funeral.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? It's easy to connect with Judith. Most times, her struggles and conflicts give you a sense of gratefulness and sadness at the same time.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The conclusion, definitely. The resolution of the conflicts were gradual and there was some comfort in the ending.

Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, I would recommend this book.
