What were the main themes of the book? Murder and mystery, of course. Nicholas is forced to deal with a whole new set of emotions when he becomes a suspect in the murder of his uncle.

Describe 2 different settings or locations. One - "Fitzjohn opened his briefcase, relishing the opportunity of an hour to himself. He removed his wire-framed glasses and
smoothed his thinning grey hair." As the case becomes more twisted, you really start to feel sorry for Fitzjohn. He always seem so close and yet so far but eventually manages to solve the crime.

Two - "‘I thought there might be a chance you’d know something about my father’s relationship with Laurence." Nicholas is on a mission of his own but desires nothing more than the truth about himself.

Were you able to connect with the main character and why? I connected more with Nicholas. His world is turned upside down and he's not sure where to turn. I think I would react the same or worse if similar incident occurred to me.

Which did you find more appealing, the introduction or the conclusion? The conclusion. Each character and scene is tied together in the end.

Why would you recommend or not recommend this book? Yes, I would recommend this book. It's a good old mystery that anyone would enjoy.
